It is not a government body, not a regulated financial or legal adviser, not a charity, and not a law firm. Where a decision is regulated, we route you to the right official body or free service.
Answers cite the UK bodies behind them — GOV.UK, HMRC, DWP, NHS, councils and regulators — so you can check the rule yourself, not just take our word.
How we build guidance →Guidance carries last-checked dates and confidence levels, so you know how current it is before you act. Frozen AI training data can't do that.
The living UK rule feed →Guides and checkers need no login, and what you save stays on your device unless you sign in to sync it. AI answers (Ask Sorted, Decode, Plain English, Life Scan) need a free account, and the text you send goes to our AI provider, Anthropic, to get the answer. We never sell user data, and never sell vulnerable users' data to anyone.
