SortedUK turns confusing UK life admin — letters, benefits, money, scams, housing, deadlines — into one calm place to understand what matters and act on it. Free, private, and sourced to official UK guidance.
Government, councils, benefits, housing, energy and consumer systems are spread across hundreds of separate websites, letters and helplines. Ordinary households miss money they are owed, miss deadlines, and struggle to work out what a letter even means or what to do next.
Around £24bn a year in UK support goes unclaimed (Policy in Practice, Missing Out 2025 — the existing sourced figure we cite across the site). The gap is not a lack of help; it is the difficulty of finding it, understanding it, and acting on it in time.

More on how it works and how we position ourselves: the platform · our promise · how we compare.
UK households, families and individuals are the core audience. Beyond that, the same engine serves small businesses, and partners who help citizens every day — councils, charities and advice services.
Partner-facing pages exist today: for councils · for business.
These are deliberately framed as the roadmap — they strengthen as the platform is used, and most depend on accounts shipping. They are not claims about today.
Anonymised, consented outcome data that gets more useful the more it is used — only once accounts and data-protection registration are in place.
Paragraph-level citations and last-verified dates — already part of how guides are written.
Tracking UK rule changes as they happen — something competitors with frozen training data cannot easily match.
“We never profit from confusion.” A reputation built on plain language, sources and a public corrections record — which compounds as the audience grows.
The core help stays free. Revenue is planned — not live — through a generous freemium tier plus optional paid layers and ethical partner licensing.
A free tier that genuinely helps, with an optional premium layer for people who want more — unlocking after accounts ship.
A paid layer for small businesses managing their own UK admin.
Councils, charities and advice partners pay for tooling — never the citizen.
No exploitative referrals. No selling vulnerable-user data. No profiting from confusion. Our promise →
SortedUK is not government, not a charity, not a law firm, and not a regulated financial adviser. It points to official UK sources, keeps a public corrections policy, and is privacy-first by design.

We are early-stage. The platform is live and useful today, but the deeper product depends on two near-term foundations: completing company registration and ICO data-protection registration.
Once those are in place, the next unlock is a logged-in Sorted Passport — saved cases that follow you, reminders before deadlines, and a caseworker layer that tracks a problem through to resolution.
If you want to back or partner with the operating system for life in Britain, we would like to hear from you.
