Help the people you serve sort things out, and see what actually happened.

SortedUK is a free, independent UK life-admin service. It is not a government body. We are looking for a small number of pilot partners (housing associations, councils and advice organisations) to test tools that help people act on letters, deadlines and support early. Every result is measured, not assumed.

Live today, and free

  • Embeds for your website: a quick letter decoder, a scam check and a UK helpline finder. See the embeds.
  • Open data under CC BY 4.0: verified UK helplines, recurring deadlines, money routes and statutory rates, each with a checked date and source. Browse the data.
  • The public service itself: plain-English guides, Decode, Money Check, deadlines, My Sorted and routes to free human help, across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In design with pilot partners (not available yet)

  • Local support your team keeps current. Each record carries a review date, so out-of-date schemes stop showing automatically.
  • Consented hand-off packs. A person chooses to share a case summary, timeline and documents with your adviser. Nothing is shared without that choice.
  • Adviser mode for caseworkers working through a problem with a client.
  • Aggregate reporting. Problem categories, journeys completed and hand-offs, shown as counts only, with a minimum group size of 10. Never individual people.

None of these are for sale. We will not describe them as available until they are.

How a pilot works

  1. We agree a baseline and at most three measures before we start. For example: officer time per case, or people who acted before a deadline.
  2. A data protection impact assessment and a data processing agreement are in place before any data is involved.
  3. The pilot runs for 8 to 12 weeks.
  4. We report support identified, applications started and awards confirmed separately. Money found is never counted as money received.
  5. Nothing is published without your written approval.

What we will never do

  • Report on individual residents, tenants or employees to a council, landlord or employer.
  • Score people for debt risk or vulnerability.
  • Sell personal data, or take referral fees from debt, claims, finance or insurance firms.
  • Charge charities for receiving referrals.

Security and procurement: honest status

We do not yet hold Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001, and we are not on a G-Cloud framework. Our privacy notice lists every processor we use. We will send our current security and data-protection answers on request, and we will tell you exactly what is not in place yet.

Employers: we do not sell a workplace product. If you run an employee assistance or benefits platform and want to offer free self-service life-admin help, talk to us.

Developers: the free data feeds are live (feed directory). A supported feed with effective dates and change alerts is being evaluated.

Email business@sorteduk.uk with your organisation, who you help and the problem you want to reduce. Embeds and open data are free. Pilot terms are agreed per pilot. We will publish standard prices once pilots have shown what the service is worth.
